| 5 | Hi! I’m Astrid, I’m a high school teacher (not stopping that) who is passionate about massage and making others feel relaxed, soothed, and comfortable in your own space.
Currently I am offering 1 or 2 hour relaxation massages at $60 an hour.
I am a mobile masseuse, I come to you!
I use grapeseed oil - it’s hypoallergenic (your skin shouldn’t react to this) and feels so hydrating.
I’m happy to yap, or let you float quietly in your mind.
What do you need?
2 towels! That’s it 🤍
I am currently a student, I graduate my Diploma of Remedial Massage in May 2027.
I am building my knowledge base with many more courses and certificates, so I can offer more specialised therapies for you.

I’m sitting on a plane and I am honestly overwhelmed with emotion. 2023 has been big. I was able to teach one of my favourite classes (you can hear 2 of my babies talking at the beginning - words can’t express how much these little moments mean to me) again after immense love and success last year I saw one of my very best friends in the world get married, the monochrome to my colour, the elegance to my bogan, the piano to my chaotic bass I moved across the world to Latvia and fell in love with this country, this part of my heritage I moved to Paris and proved to myself (and my y12 teacher who told me I couldn’t do it) that living and working in France is not only possible, it’s a reality I started working at one of the coolest schools, which has opened my eyes and shown me many new avenues I have travelled to 15 countries in one year I have faced some huge challenges - some I’m still not ready to fully understand just yet I have learned the power and meaning of true friendship - Rachel and Nic, leaning on you has been everything to me - and where my true home is I have seen snow and learned that yes, you really do need a heater in the European winters! . Here’s to 2024, and who knows what will happen then!

Thank you thank you @rachcollier_tattoo for my gorgeous new tattoos! They fit so perfectly to what I wanted and where I needed them, and I’m (as always) completely obsessed with your talent and work! Thank you for the affirming chats, book recs, chippie sharing offers and for being the person who can turn my crazy brain into art 🩷🩷 . #sevensaintstattoo @sevensaintstattoo #tattoos #melbournetattoo #melbournetattooartist

I have so much gratitude, and reflection for the journey that got me here. . I grew up in a perfect mix of sheltered and protected, and facing the scary unknown and real world. I grew up judging people by their actions not appearances, knowing speaking other languages make your brain work differently not ‘wrong’ or lesser in English, and battling my brain through undiagnosed anxiety. . At 15 I entered “the real world” for the first time in a serious way. I realised I am smart, and that for me, academics would be a pathway to achieving the life I wanted. So, I returned to school and began to work hard in my classes. . I turned 18, and got into university. I met some amazing people, graduated my first degree (UWA: political science and French), and had no idea what to do with my life. My Mum suggested I do teaching, which I at first refused, because “high school sucks the first time and only an idiot would go back”. But, mums are always right, so I graduated a second time (Notre Dame: diploma of secondary education). . I started teaching and (surprise surprise) it’s exactly what I’m meant to do. But I wanted to study more. So I found a teaching English as a second language (TESOL) course, and figured it would be the best to support my goals and students. . So, in 2021, I enrolled at Bond University. I studied part time online while working full time in my gorgeous, insane, delightful and feral school (🥰). I made friends with my lecturers, I pushed myself hard, I related theory to practical life and I believe I did it well. 2023, I packed up and left for a year long adventure; still studying online while I travelled. Through shoddy internet, 4am wake ups to chat with my lecturers on WhatsApp and zoom, consecutive all nighters and a million other challenges, I finished strong and I’m so grateful for this journey.

Day 23 part 1: I’m back in Latvia and feeling so at home 🥰 . Here I talk about a horrible airport moment (I don’t normally curse at people, but this time I was raw and unfiltered), gifts, and I meet my lovely Latvian teacher! ❤️❤️
