| 1 | You can know your camera settings.
You can save a million posing ideas.
You can learn how to find pretty light.
But when you’re standing on the beach with the wind blowing, the light changing, and a whole family looking at you waiting for direction....
You need all those things to actually WORK TOGETHER!!
That’s what made the biggest difference for me.
I stopped trying to remember a bunch of separate tips and started following a repeatable process instead!!
And that’s what I teach inside Mastering Beach Portrait Photography
We go through the WHOLE session together:
📷 Camera + settings
☀️ Understanding beach light
📋 Planning your session
💃 Posing your clients
👁️ Composition
✉️ Editing, delivery + client workflow
Because I don’t want you standing there thinking, “Wait.... what do I do now??”
I want you to walk onto any beach, in any condition, with any client.... and know exactly what to do!!

| 3 | Windy beach sessions don’t have to be a nightmare! 🤪
The trick?!! STOP fighting the wind and work WITH it.
Pay attention to the direction it’s blowing, position your clients so the hair blows AWAY from their faces, and always get your safe shot before letting the wind do its thing….

| 4 | The sessions I used to DREAD now make up 80% of my business. 🤯
Seriously!!
I was SO stressed out by beach sessions that I would turn down thousands of dollars just to avoid shooting at the beach.
The light was constantly changing.
I was second-guessing my settings.
I didn't know where to put people.
And if the weather changed AGAIN?? 🙈
I felt like I was starting from scratch every single session.
But after 12+ years behind the camera, I can tell you something I REALLY wish someone had told me back then:
It wasn't because I was bad at photography!!
Beach photography is just kinda
tricky until you understand what to look for AND have a process you can trust.
Once I stopped trying to memorize a million different tips and learned how to confidently handle each part of a beach session, everything changed.
I learned how to read the light, lock in my settings, prepare my clients, pose with confidence, adjust when things changed, edit consistently, and create an experience people wanted to come back to.
Beach sessions went from the thing I feared most to 80% of my business!!
And now I've taken everything I've learned and put it into Mastering Beach Portrait Photography; my complete step-by-step course for photographers who are ready to master the entire beach session from start to finish.
Because I PROMISE, you don't have to spend years figuring this out the hard way like I did!!

| 5 | Beach photography does NOT have to feel so complicated!!
After 10+ years and hundreds of beach sessions, I’ve learned that a few simple shifts can make a HUGE difference.
☀️ Learn how to actually read the light
📸 Start with reliable settings instead of guessing
✨ Keep your images bright without losing detail
💛 Have a go-to posing strategy
🌊 Create tons of variety without overcomplicating your session
These are the same simple shifts I use at every single beach session... and I put all 5 of them into a FREE guide so you can start using them too!!
I promise, once you know what to look for, everything starts to feel so much easier. 💛

| 6 | THIS is why I love teaching photographers!!
💛 “Hannah!! This information is SOOO helpful! Wow! I cannot wait to try out these strategies! Thank you for sharing!!”
💛 “Loving these tips!!! …I LOVE the hard sun and I feel like this is going to really help me out!!”
💛 “It’s so perfect. Love it. Well worth the investment!”
I remember when beach photography felt like the thing I just couldn’t figure out.
I was second-guessing the light, my settings, my posing…. basically EVERYTHING. 😅
So seeing other photographers learn these strategies and start having those “WAIT…. I get it!!” moments means SO much to me!
After 12+ years and hundreds of beach sessions, I’ve taken everything I learned the hard way and turned it into one simple process:
☀️ See the Light
📸 Easy Settings
💛 Adjust & Guide
That’s my S.E.A. Method, and I walk you through it step-by-step inside Light & Airy in 30 Minutes!

| 7 | I make a living taking pictures on the beach… but if I had to start all over again, THIS is exactly what I’d do!!
First? I’d pick ONE thing and get really freaking good at it.
I wouldn’t try to be a newborn photographer on Monday, shoot a wedding Saturday and decide I’m a branding photographer by Sunday. 😂
I’d pick what I actually LOVE shooting and become known for it.
Then I’d shoot. A LOT.
Friends. My kids. Random people who agreed to let me practice on them. Literally anyone.
Because you can watch 700 reels about photography, but eventually you have to pick up the camera.
I’d stop comparing my beginning to photographers who have been doing this for 15 years.
That one wasted WAY too much of my time.
I’d put my work out there before I thought it was “good enough.”
And I’d start charging sooner.
Not $50 forever because I still felt “new.”
And probably the biggest one…
I’d stop thinking I needed to know EVERYTHING before I could call myself a photographer.
You learn by DOING IT.
I have been doing this for years and I’m still learning.
That’s kind of the whole point.
So if you’re sitting there thinking, “I really want to do this, but I have no freaking clue where to start…”
Start.
Seriously.
And if the BEACH is where you want to get better, I can at least make that part easier for you. 😂

| 9 | Beach photography gets SO much easier when you stop trying to figure out every session as you go. 📸

Want to know one of the biggest mistakes I made for YEARS? The second I found beautiful light... I’d leave it. Boom! 💥 I’d start chasing another “pretty spot.” Another background. Another angle. Now I do the exact opposite. When I find great light, I stay in it. I simply move my clients around within that light. One good lighting zone can give you an entire gallery full of variety. I teach exactly how to do that inside Light & Airy beach photos in 30 Minutes. Comment MINI and I’ll send you all the details! ✨ and it’s on sale!!! 🙃🙃
