# Instapect — Instagram public-profile audits

Instapect measures only lawfully visible public signals: published posts,
visible counts, captions, hashtags, mentions and activity patterns. It never
reports reach, impressions, profile actions, audience demographics or Story
insights, because those require owner authorisation.

## What a report contains

1. Profile snapshot — identity and headline KPIs
2. Growth and cadence — posting rhythm and deltas across snapshots
3. Engagement diagnostics — average vs median, distribution, sample size
4. Content leaderboard — ranked posts with per-post engagement rate
5. Hashtags and mentions — frequency and performance association
6. Action plan and methodology — prioritised recommendations, KPI definitions, caveats

## Key metric

`Engagement rate by followers = (avg likes + avg comments) / followers x 100`

Median engagement is always shown alongside the average. Grading is
tier-relative: each account is scored against percentile anchors for its own
follower tier, so a 2,000-follower account with strong engagement scores well.
